Now that indeed Hon.Ruto seems to be ahead in the pack and now belongs to Kenyans,what can the larger Kalenjin constituency do to tame him and ensure the community benefits from his national stature.More often ,when a leader gains national stature,his local constituency suffers because the perceived satisfaction from the priviledge of having their own at the top is ultimate.We have to own him and thus the need to have a check and balance by constant constructive crititism and allowing other leaders a space to grow and therefore keep the top on its toes.We need not overemphasise the ills of absolute power of an individual over a community.
